Seems that the loot modifier has stopped working with the new DLC :(

How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

Yup, updated the download in the first post.

Loot stuff may have changed a little bit it seems. I actually found a roll for if the item should be anointed or not... I'll see if I can't re-find that and add that since anointments seem to be meta. I'm hoping that these loot/anoint rolls don't need to be different for every single DLC... I don't want to make and upkeep 5 different loot scripts.

The updated loot tables don't seem to be working for me, or at least they work very situationally (a main quest miniboss dropped legendary loot while using the DLC (!?!) loot table, but everything else dropped whites and greens, regardless of whether it was the main quest or DLC or which table I was using). I recognize this is totally on the devs and not you, and I'm sorry they've turned the loot code into such a garbage fire right now, just letting you know.

yea, unfortunately both seem to be broken now :( tried testing using both DLC loot modifier and base loot modifier in slaughter shaft, golden chests, and DLC content.

Hello! This is an excellent job and I want to thank you for this contribution.
I just want to write my anomaly report.
-The Loot modifier Base does not work
-The Loot modifier DLC does not work correctly
-The modifier of the Moxxi casino machines works very well! But it would be nice if all the machines could be manipulated.

Yeah I've been having... issues.

I can find the item rarity call thing pretty easily, problem is like before the game uses the same function over and over to determine a few different aspects of a drop, such as what category it is, then what model, and so forth (but not parts since those vary, they seem to be in a different place).

Like before, I need to find a way to make sure the loot value is only overwritten when it's initially rolling for rarity, and not any other time (or you'll end up with the same 2-3 items infinitely). I mean getting all legendaries isn't nearly as cool when you keep getting the same item.

Before there was some sort of flag in one of the registers that was easy to spot, but now...

While RBP and RSP seem like easy targets since they have repeating values, which values are used for what differs depending on if you're in the base game or DLC for some reason. I quite frankly do not want to make and upkeep this code multiple times for the base game and DLCs... and they seem to vary too much to use anyways.

I found one comparison that seems to work mostly for the base game, but I'm out of time to mess with it today to see if it works for the DLC maps. Maybe somebody with more experience could figure it out on a more global level later.

Hello I am writing to give my review of the loot modifier.
It performs well but now enemies and red chests don't drop legendary items. before if they gave legendary items.
(personal perception: the golden chest gave more variety before or so it seems to me, it is a personal perception.)

Well I can confirm that this works in base game. Made a new character to test and went all the way to Mouthpiece and lots of drops. and a variety of them. Chest and other things seem to be good also. Chest after Mouthpiece gave a Lyuda. Got a Monocle off a shock Skag. One thing I did note is a certain type of chest now only gives Launcher Ammo it's the only thing in that chest. Not really a problem but something to note. Going to keep playing to get to DLC 1 area and see if it continues working.

EDIT: CAUTION MESSING WITH GRENADES AMOUNT SEEMS TO HAVE BROKE THE ABILTY TO HAVE GRENADES. Not Max amount current number you have seems to have done this. Going to try a reload to see if that fixes it. EDIT 2:Reloading fixes it

EDIT 3: Loot Increase works DLC 1 . Almost every enemy drops a legendary. All bosses has so far.

Hey there, just rolling through since the update and what not and seeing that you are trying to figure out the... "problem".

I tend to run through testing a lot of things, and with how focused I have been on this game and utilizing your table to try and test things in the game... I have come to theorize a possible issue, maybe?

There is currently an event in place that increases the drop rates of items (possibly just by adding onto the luck stat in some way, or possibly by altering the loot table.) This leads to legendaries dropping from just about every source. Gotten 3 random pistols from just trash piles alone. I have also noticed that the Golden Chest, with the Loot Table script enabled, seems to like a specific set of rolls for legendaries. I am unsure if it's just the script in game being overwritten for the event or if it's just... crap luck based off percentage based RNG? But the Wagon Wheel, Jericho, and the Boom Blaster shield seem to be the most prevalent. Every so often you might get lucky and get something like an SMG, or a rifle if you are lucky. But even those seem.... limited based off whatever happened. I have run tests of about 120 golden keys trying to update some gear and seeing what things can spawn with and this whole situation kinda sucks.

Alternatively, the slot machine script works nicely. The eridium machine in Moxxi's is where I have spent a few hours now trying to see what all I can get. It's mostly SMG's and rifles, but it's still better than just getting 4 Wagon Wheels, a Jericho, or 4 Big Boom Blasters... Alternatively, the options are a bit more diverse, and I have gotten legendaries I didn't know about and have come to enjoy. Also noticed that certain legendaries are pretty much the same with minor differences (i.e. the Alchemist and Try Bolter, or the Rowan's/Lucien's Call). I have yet to really get good shotgun options, or any of the diverse pistol options from either the chest or the slots.

SO! TL;DR is that the event might be the cause of the weird issues with the loot script (or they have locked a lot of the fun guns from the loot tables of both the Golden Chest and the Slots). These events last from March 27 - April 2nd for the vending machine legendaries (which seems broken as per the game/event description...) and March 27 - April 30th for the universal loot drop increase. I hope this arbitrary info from my random tests can help in any way >_>;;

(And I really hope that the Gibbed editor can make head way... I really just want to be able to gunsmith and modify the guns to test out individual parts etc...)

Tried the new table with DLC2, got legendaries... but it was six Wagon Wheels in a row. I really appreciate you putting in all this effort, but loot MIGHT just be borked as long as this event is going on. You've done some great work here, and I hope a solution is found, but I wouldn't blame you for just waiting it out.

The golden chest actually seems to roll two chest sets at once. Once for the middle, and once for the sides. During my fiddling around I got just the sides or just the middle to always be overwritten, for example.

But yeah this is the main issue. Right now the script isn't editing just the rarity roll, but other things too, and those other things cascade down to limit what drops. For example if a chest decides to generate a set of 4 pistols, then there's no way it can spawn a Krakatoa (sniper). It's only when certain configs are rolled that certain items can drop.

Changing which chests/sources you get things from lets the loot vary more with the script at least, since different chests can or cannot spawn certain configurations of loot... or changing the override value.

Yeah that doesn't use the normal loot roll to determine rarity (it only rolls the slot once) so I can override that decision without any limitations on what actually comes out.

That seems to be more of a BL3 thing in general, where many legendaries have more fixed parts (or more limited selection) than in previous games. To give one extreme example every single Back Ham that drops in BL3 will always have the same shield capacity, whatever parts determine/modify capacity aren't allowed to vary.

I hope it does too. I don't want to use it myself, I just want people to stop asking me to add part editing.

Anyways one theory that might solve all these issues would be if I could find the actual rarity weighting tables (like people did for BL2). Then I wouldn't have to fiddle with trying to force things to drop a specific pool, people could just edit the odds themselves.

Global RNG modifier seems to fucked up the shops. Seems like I have to start a new game to fix it. Oh well.
