The game still doesn't boot when I drop the new DLL in. I'm not sure if this is a linux issue or if it's the same issue as other people are experiencing.

Should i make a tutorial on this subject? I keep seeing this same question pop up. If so could someone link me to the visual studio packages I might need if there are any.

To be honest, people don't even need to compile it themselves anymore. Since yesterday, the .dll file is automatically compiled and created through GitHub Actions now [Link] You just need to click on one of the actions (preferablly the latest one as that is usually the one that is up to date), scroll down a bit, and you'll see the version artifact. It can easily be downloaded as a zip file containing the version.dll file already made and everything.

The thing you are looking at in the picture is the artifact zip, it just doesn't have the extension to it on github xD but when you download it, it downloads as a zip, then you just open it like any normal zip and the version.dll file is in there.
